Simply screw the cap onto the shaft: done! Then it fits perfectly in one hand and has the ideal shape for long periods of writing. When closed it measures 9.7cm and when opened it only measures 8.7cm. But if you screw the cap on, it measures 12.6cm. The fountain pen can be customized by choosing your desired nib in the sizes fine (F), medium (M), or wide (B). All springs are made in Germany. Kawecos DIY Berry comes ready for use with an ink cartridge in royal blue, but this can easily be replaced with any other color.
