The modern sports car construction inspired the Kaweco AC Sport. The materials aluminium and carbon are no longer just decorative elements. They influence many aspects of the dynamics and efficiency of a vehicle. When it comes to writing instruments, these aspects are also applicable: The refined, matt surface of the aluminium in vibrant colours is harmonious with the woven carbon fibre in a dark shade of grey. The materials enhance the design and the writing comfort by the pen’s surface feel and weight.

It has been possible to build up energetic emotions in this writing device. Please get to know the first Kaweco in “light-weight construction”: the AC Sport! The AC Sport series offers three different writing systems: mechanical pencil, fountain pen and ball pen.

You can choose between five different nib sizes, from extra fine to extra broad for the fountain pen. While the extra fine nib (EF) is suitable for small and delicate handwritings, the extra broad (BB) nib is often used for large, dramatic signatures. For beginners, we recommend the nib size medium (M). All nibs are produced in Germany.

The piano lacquer black Kaweco CLASSIC Sport fountain pen is the most popular Kaweco writing instrument. The elegant sports shape, typical Kaweco with 8 edges, has been available in this design since 1935. The fountain pen is made of high quality plastic, completely made in Germany. The gold-plated steel nib visually matches the classic gold imprint and the gold-colored top logo on the cap. The Kaweco CLASSIC Sport fountain pen can be filled with standard ink cartridges. Alternatively, there is the Kaweco QUETSCH or the Kaweco MINI converter to fill the pen with ink out of a inkwell. The Kaweco Sport model was added to Kaweco's range in 1911. At that time, however, this had no eight edges yet. It was round. The current design has been in the range since 1994 and is inspired by the 1935 model. Between 1935 and 1994 there were different designs such as a fountain pen with hidden nib. Sepp Herberger, the German national soccer coach, used a Kaweco sports model in 1954. At that time, Germany became world champion.

The SKYLINE is definitely out of the Sport family and has the distinctive, octagonal 8 faces shape, which is typical for Kaweco writing instruments. The basic design of the sport line goes back to 1935. Until today the SKYLINE Sport has the traditional long cap with edges on the round barrel. If you stick both together the pen becomes a excellent size which is very comfortable to write with.
