In 1911 something special occurred with the Kaweco Sport. A pocket fountain pen which everyone could carry anywhere. Sepp Herberger already appreciated these characteristics. It was with a Kaweco Sport that the former coach of the German national soccer team wrote on a piece of paper his winning tactics which brought the Germans to the world cup in 1954.

Compared with the CLASSIC Sport, which has a golden imprint and logo cap, SKYLINE comes with silver coloured characteristics. The SKYLINE is definitely out of the Sport family and has the distinctive, octagonal 8 faces shape, which is typical for Kaweco writing instruments. The basic design of the sport line goes back to 1935. Until today the SKYLINE Sport has the traditional short barrel for the Kaweco Sport ballpen and pencil.

Kaweco AL Sport push pencil 0,7 mm black

The Kaweco AL Sport is a really tough pen. Traditional design was consequently combined with modern materials. The Kaweco AL Sport is being produced of massive aluminium using CNC machines. Each item is finally being polished and refined with different surfaces. Despite of aluminium it has a solid weight and sympathetic surface feeling. The requirements on the AL Sport are high. Small, however big enough for comfortable writing. Robust but not too heavy. By modern CNC technique and the use of high-quality aluminium today it is possible to realise the AL Sport. For the Kaweco mechanical pencil there are the matching 0.7 mm leads here in our shop. Already in 1905 Kaweco manufactured the first writing instruments made of metal. Which was produced with silver or gold plated brass in the past, is today manufactured from the lighter aluminium material.

The piano lacquer black Kaweco CLASSIC Sport fountain pen is the most popular Kaweco writing instrument. The elegant sports shape, typical Kaweco with 8 edges, has been available in this design since 1935. The fountain pen is made of high quality plastic, completely made in Germany. The gold-plated steel nib visually matches the classic gold imprint and the gold-colored top logo on the cap. The Kaweco CLASSIC Sport fountain pen can be filled with standard ink cartridges. Alternatively, there is the Kaweco QUETSCH or the Kaweco MINI converter to fill the pen with ink out of a inkwell. The Kaweco Sport model was added to Kaweco's range in 1911. At that time, however, this had no eight edges yet. It was round. The current design has been in the range since 1994 and is inspired by the 1935 model. Between 1935 and 1994 there were different designs such as a fountain pen with hidden nib. Sepp Herberger, the German national soccer coach, used a Kaweco sports model in 1954.
