The Kaweco Lunar Sport clutch pencil in Light Purple belongs to the third and final colour pair of the Lunar Sport series. Light Purple is the lighter of the two: a delicately shimmering mauve tone that recalls the soft light of the moon. Its counterpart Shadow Purple, by contrast, works with dark depth reminiscent of orchid blossoms.

Iridescent colour shift instead of a plain finish

An iridescent effect sits over the light base tone and lets ever-changing nuances travel across the body depending on how the light falls. In daylight, on the desk or under artificial light, the clutch pencil looks a little different every time. The Lunar Sport clutch pencil uses a 3.2 mm lead with a hardness grade of 5B. This combination is clearly aimed at people who draw: 5B is a very soft grade that delivers rich, dark lines with little pressure, and depending on how you hold it, the thick lead allows both broad areas and a narrower edge for outlines.

With a clutch pencil, the lead is not advanced step by step but slides forward under its own weight at the push of a button. This lets you set the lead length freely, ideal for sketching, hatching and quick drafts.

Light enough for long drawing sessions

At just 12.5 g, the Lunar Sport clutch pencil belongs to the lightweight class. The body made from durable ABS plastic feels almost weightless in the hand while keeping the familiar robustness of the Sport series. Even during longer drawing sessions, your hand tires noticeably less.
