Kaweco Lunar Sport Fountain Pen Light Blue
The Kaweco Lunar Sport in Light Blue is a compact pocket fountain pen from the Kaweco Sport series. Its defining feature is an iridescent surface that shifts between light blue and violet tones depending on how the light falls on it. Light Blue is the softer of the two Lunar finishes and recalls forget-me-nots in full bloom, while its counterpart Shadow Blue works with darker depth.
Iridescent colour shift instead of a plain finish
Unlike single-colour Sport models, a shimmering effect sits over the light base tone and makes the colour appear different from every angle. On the desk, in daylight or under artificial light, the pen shows a different nuance each time. If you are looking for an understated everyday pen with one distinctive visual detail, this is a calmer alternative to boldly coloured models.
Light enough for long writing sessions
At 11 g, the Lunar Sport belongs to the lightweight class. The body is made from durable ABS plastic, which carries the familiar robustness of the Sport series without adding bulk. For extended writing, this means noticeably less hand fatigue than with metal models.
Closed, the pen measures 10.5 cm and fits into a shirt pocket, a pen case or a notebook loop. With the cap posted it grows to 12.7 cm and reaches a full writing length. The diameter without the clip is 13 mm.
Replaceable 060 steel nib in five widths
The Lunar Sport comes with Kaweco’s replaceable 060 steel nib, manufactured in Germany. Five nib widths are available:
- Extra fine (EF) for small handwriting and narrow ruling
- Fine (F) for everyday use
- Medium (M), the recommendation for beginners
- Broad (B) for expressive writing
- Double broad (BB) for calligraphy and signatures
Because the nib can be swapped as a complete unit, the line width can be changed at any time without tools.
Scope of delivery and matching accessories
The fountain pen is supplied in the black Kaweco standard paper sleeve. For personalisation, eleven Kaweco ink colours, a foldable mini converter for bottled ink and slide-on clips in gold, silver, bronze and black are available. For transport, we recommend the Kaweco Sport pen cases.
