Kaweco Lunar Sport Fountain Pen Shadow Purple
With Shadow Purple and Light Purple, the third and final colour pair of the Kaweco Lunar Sport series has arrived. Shadow Purple is the darker of the two: a deep violet tone reminiscent of delicate orchid blossoms. Its counterpart Light Purple, by contrast, shows a pale mauve shimmer that recalls the soft light of the moon.
Iridescent colour shift instead of a plain finish
An iridescent effect sits over the dark base tone and lets ever-changing nuances travel across the body depending on how the light falls. In daylight, on the desk or under artificial light, the fountain pen looks a little different every time. Because the dark base makes the colours shine more intensely, Shadow Purple shows this effect far more vividly than the subtler Light Purple, the right choice if you are looking for an expressive everyday fountain pen with a special detail.
Light enough for long writing sessions
At just 11 g, the Lunar Sport belongs to the lightweight class. The body made from durable ABS plastic feels almost weightless in the hand while keeping the familiar robustness of the Sport series. Even during longer writing sessions, your hand tires noticeably less.
Closed, the fountain pen measures 10.5 cm and fits into a shirt pocket, a pen case or a notebook loop. With the cap posted it grows to 12.7 cm and reaches a full writing length.
Replaceable 060 steel nib in five widths
The Lunar Sport writes with Kaweco's replaceable 060 steel nib, manufactured in Germany. Five nib widths are available:
- Extra Fine (EF) for small handwriting and narrow ruling
- Fine (F) for everyday use
- Medium (M), our recommendation for beginners
- Broad (B) for an expressive line
- Extra Broad (BB) for bold lines and signatures
Because the nib can be exchanged as a complete unit, you can change the line width at any time without tools.
Scope of delivery and matching accessories
The fountain pen is supplied in the black Kaweco standard paper sleeve. For a personal touch, eleven Kaweco ink colours, a foldable mini converter for bottled ink and slide-on clips in gold, silver, bronze and black are available. On the go, the Kaweco Sport pen cases protect your fountain pen.
