Kaweco Piston Sport AL Bordeaux Starter Set
The Kaweco Piston Sport AL Starter Set in Bordeaux comes with everything you need to get started with bottled ink: the metallic piston filler in a new, luxurious shade of red plus a 32 ml bottle of Royal Blue ink. Just in time for the holidays, the Piston Sport AL series becomes a little more colourful.
Red anodised aluminium with golden accents
The red anodised surface of the robust aluminium body is highly durable and feels velvety and premium in the hand. It harmonises beautifully with the golden elements and gives the fountain pen a particularly elegant character. Thanks to the balanced ratio of weight and diameter, your hand does not tire even after long writing sessions.
Piston mechanism instead of ink cartridges
With the piston mechanism, you draw ink directly from the bottle into the pen's integrated ink chamber, making cartridges unnecessary. The filling mechanism runs exceptionally smoothly, and the transparent ink window lets you keep an eye on the ink level at all times.
Another advantage: many ink colours are only available in bottles. With the piston filler, this whole variety of colours is open to you. Kaweco's own history dates back to 1883 and has seen many different filling systems, the piston mechanism being one of the most classic.
Compact for on the go
In relation to pen size and ink volume, the Kaweco Sport Piston Filler is the smallest of its kind thanks to its clever mechanism. Closed, the iconic pocket pen measures just 10.5 cm and fits into any pocket. With the cap posted it grows to 13 cm and reaches a comfortable writing length.
Gold-plated 190 steel nib in five widths
The fountain pen writes with a gold-plated steel nib. Five nib widths are available:
- Extra Fine (EF) for small handwriting and narrow ruling
- Fine (F) for everyday use
- Medium (M), our recommendation for beginners
- Broad (B) for an expressive line
- Extra Broad (BB) for bold lines and signatures
The 190 nib unit can easily be exchanged later on.
Scope of delivery
The piston filler is supplied in the elegant round tin in the classic Kaweco design, together with a 32 ml bottle of Royal Blue ink. This makes the set ready to use straight away and an ideal gift for the holidays. If you already have ink on your shelf, the same fountain pen is also available on its own without an ink bottle.
