Product information "Waldmann Chess fountain pen"

Like all fountain pens from Waldmann, the Chess is also available with a stainless steel spring or with an 18 kt. Bi Color Goldspring. Both spring variants have an iridium point and are available in the spring sizes EF, F, M and B. The cap is simply attached. It is provided with a guilloche fine Pyramid decor with engraving field and the steel clip. All metal components are rhodium plated. Like all Waldmann writing instruments, the shaft is made of solid sterling silver, has a multilayer black brilliant finish and is highly polished. This fountain pen has a cap with a length of 146 mm, a diameter of 9.9 mm and weighs 26 g. The length without cap is 103 mm.

Pelikan Souverän 400 piston fountain pen tortoiseshell-white

The preparation of the coat is complex, because after a specially developed formula for Pelikan is made of cotton material in many steps, a striped piece of material that is bent, ground and then cut with a diamond to contour. Then the characteristic double rings are fitted with the utmost precision, resulting in a nearly seamless transition between the materials before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The last step is to mount the slightly springy beak clip with the famous, stylized pelican. The bi-color nib is made of 14 kt. 585 gold and is finished with a rhodium decoration. The fittings are 24 kt. gilded. This piston fountain pen has a closed cap length of 12.5 cm and weighs 15.3 g.
