The SPECIAL is made by Kaweco in an octagonal aluminum profile. This is sleekly in ones hand and combines technique with classic design.

Today's SPECIAL is a further development of the office pencils from the 30's. The most important characteristics are a simple and artless octagonal design with a handy push button. Long and thin, made of ebonite and later turned of celluloid, the SPECIAL series established as a long-lasting working tool at a reasonable price.

Soon the product series expanded through fountain pens cause of the big success. Today we purposely use the modern aluminium and robust, reliable mechanisms which have been sold already a million times.
