The production of the coat is complex, because after a specially developed recipe for Pelikan is made of cotton material in many steps, a striped piece of material that is bent, ground and then cut with a diamond to contour. Then the characteristic double rings are fitted with the utmost precision, resulting in a nearly seamless transition between the materials before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The last step is to mount the slightly springy beak clip with the famous, stylized pelican. The rollerball pen is equipped with a refill in font color black. The fittings are 24 kt. gilded.
